Message: My son and daughter have now both graduated from Greensboro Academy. My son graduated in 2019 and my daughter just graduated in 2022. Greensboro Academy is an absolutely excellent school.. The school is managed by National Heritage Academies, which seems to provide good management, resources and oversight. The local school board is also very well run. They do a good job of supporting the school and making important decisions. The school strongly encourages parent involvement and has an active and vibrant boosters organization. With all of those good things said, the thing that really sets Greensboro Academy apart are the excellent staff. The administration, teachers and other staff that we have interacted with are all absolutely top notch. They care about these kids deeply and want to help them get a good education.. If you are a parent looking for a great school for you kids, I'd highly recommend Greensboro Academy.. For full disclosure: My wife worked as a kindergarten teacher here for several years (ending in 2005). I consider a couple of the current school board members friends. My wife served for several years as part of the boosters leadership. Clearly, I am biased. However, we've also been very closely connected to this school for quite a few years. We've seen it in good times and bad (including through COVID) and based on the totality of our experience, I'd still very highly recommend it.

Message: I’m really not sure why people have given so much bad reviews. Hundreds of people are in line to join This school and I think it deserve better rating. My child is really happy here and doing great in study. It’s not only her it’s her teachers who motivate her and inspire her to do excellence.

Message: This is our 2nd year at Greensboro Academy. They have done a great job with accommodating the parents who have opted to do remote learning the duration of the school year. My son’s teacher Mrs. Yates has been very helpful, and readily available with this transition. I would say that we have been through an unimaginable time, however the school has exceeded my expectations in navigating through the changes while still staying committed to Academic excellence and Moral Focus. Great Job Greensboro Academy.

Message: I recommend this school to people all the time. My son went to several GCS schools before finally getting into this one and this by far is the best. I read other reviews about bullying and we have never had an issue and in previous schools we had serious issues. They go above and beyond to make sure your child is where they need to be academically. If you want your child to get a GREAT education and not just the bare minimum then this is the place to be.

Message: My children are thriving here! They love their teachers and the other kids that they have met. They are both staying above standards for grade level. I highly recommend this school!

Message: Mrs. Sarah Hicks, has put her heart and soul into the life’s of hundreds of children in her 20 plus years of teaching. She and her teammates sincerely think outside the box at times, because every child needs to be successful. Children learn in many different ways. This school has set the bar for education extremely high. I know for a fact this is a high moral, and encouraging place for all students and staff. Our children only have one shot at life, so we want great teachers leading the children in the areas needed in this ever changing world.

Message: As of writing this I am currently in eight grade as this school. I would like to advise all parents who are reading the reviews to ignore all the other ones and just read this one. The reviews written by the other students who went to the school were not the smartest of sorts. They always got themselves into trouble and blamed it on the teachers. I think this school is very devoted to their students and cares for all of us very deeply. The middle school Dean and principal have both used ideas from people I know and incorporated then into our daily schedule. Not only do they treat the students well at this school but the adults are listened to and appreciated for all they do at this school. I myself have gotten into trouble plenty of times throughout my time here but I still think this school is a perfect place for any child. No one has ever asked me or any of my friends to go to the bathroom with them, no one I know has just been punched randomly, and no one I know is actually being bullied. Send your child here is you want a good atmosphere to grow up in. I love this school and it brings tears to my eyes knowing I have to leave everything at this school in June.
